CREATIVES NOT CRIMINALS ON #ENDSARS

Being safe as a Creative or Fashion Professional in times like these has become completely overrated. As a Creative, one can’t help but wonder whether or not it’s safe to look elegant or move out with digital work tools without being classified as a criminal. Bizzare, isn’t it?[/box]

As a way of lending our voice and support to the #ENDSARS youth led peace protests which kicked off via Social Media on the 3rd and hit the streets on the 7th of October,  2020. Continuously seeking how best to make change, we teamed up with our long time Community Member, Charles Egbejule, Founder and Creative Director of HubrisWorld, to design the #ENDSARS scarf bandanas which were produced by Mask Assembly to donate 500 scarves to the peaceful protests. This was to contribute our voice against police brutality.

Here are some highlights from the protest:

The A-Team was amazing!  A total of 500 bandanas were distributed, 300 at the Lekki Phase 1 Toll Gate and 200 to Ikorodu.

Production and distribution timelines were short so we had little time and resources to produce high-quality bandanas and items for the protesters.
