We’re getting practical this June with a 3-part short course on Introduction to Supply Chain Management.

- What to look out for in sourcing fabric and raw materials
- The use of tech packs in product development
- The process of sampling
- Best practices on quality checks
- A practical session on costing for retail with a working template
- A certificate of participation
ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
Dorcas Payne, Creative Consultant & Fashion Business Professional
Dorcas is a creative consultant and brings with her over 10 years of experience in fashion, apparel, retail, buying, branding and marketing. After receiving her Masters in Strategic Fashion Marketing at the London College of Fashion, she has gone on to consult for independent brands and designers in the UK and West Africa on their business, supply chain and operations as well as how to implement branding and marketing solutions. Recent experience includes working in the buying team for an in-house brand at an established UK-based department store and subsequently managing the partnerships of a West Africa based sourcing company. These partners ranged from international retailers and brands in Europe, USA and Australia to partner factories in Benin and Ghana as well as raw material suppliers across Asia. Improving efficiency in production, business processes and systems is also a core area of her expertise.
Dorcas has developed a unique ability to encapsulate the essence of a brand and bring to life creative ways and ideas to convey this through their products, services and branding. She also acts as a catalyst for collaboration, education and training within the creative industry to bring about the change needed for a future of sustainable consumption and production, especially across the African continent.
