About the Guest Speaker:

Eugene Meyer is the Founder and Head of Strategy at FLANCE Directive Creators, a creative brand agency based in Cape Town, South Africa.

In 2009, he established a creative consultancy aiming to make the type of strategy and design only found in larger agencies available to small and medium size enterprises focusing on entrepreneurial businesses. Over the course of 9 years he moved into management consulting, assisting businesses with end to end brand development. He actively manages the whole process, from establishing marketing objectives to setting up project plans and departmental budgets. He supports marketing teams and builds capacity within organisations where the marketing department is not fully set up.

Beyond the traditional channels of marketing, Eugene has delved into incorporating experiential marketing into the marketing mix and have been involved in various events and activations for brands such as Verve Clicquot, Chevron, Qatar Petroleum Company and Absa Bank. It was here that he has developed his ability to harness the senses as part of the marketing experience by incorporating light, architectural installations, sound and food to amplify the brand experience for participants.

His experience across multiple industry sectors (FMCG, Healthcare, Retail, Hospitality and Petroleum) has enabled him to be very flexible in his understanding and approach to marketing.
