This Friday, we’ll be hosting the sixth and final edition in 2020, of our ‘How I got started’ series with amazingly talented fashion stylists; Rhoda Ebun and Kel Vincent. Our co-hosts will be in ‘Fashversation’ about their creative journey, major milestones, their pain points and opportunities.
The Event
The purpose of the event is to inspire and empower African startups in the creative industry with insights into the process of exceptional brand owners in starting up and running successful brands.
Meet the Co-Hosts
Kelvin Vincent is a multiple award winning stylist and a fashion designer based in Ghana. A creative director who has worked with many celebrities like Efya, Zynelle, Christabel Ekeh to name a few in Ghana and also Nigeria. He has styled for high end fashion magazines and worked backstage at major fashion shows in Ghana and Nigeria.
Kelvin attributes his success to his personality and his keen eyes for details and business knowledge. He offers valuable services to all his clients either styling a high-profile celebrity for a red carpet event or a recent college graduate looking to update his/her wardrobe. He gives each of his clients the same amount of respect and attention, which makes him easy to work with and definitely easy to love!
Rhoda Ebun is the Lead Principal Consultant for RTFCompany, a fashion and style consult company based in Lagos, Nigeria which caters to individuals, fashion brands and organizations collectively.
As a Fashion stylist, Rhoda Ebun has worked as official stylist for EbonyLife TV, TRACE URBAN, Africa magic, MTVBASE West and Guardian TV where she had the responsibility of styling the presenters.
Rhoda Ebun has also worked with several celebrities like Dakore Egbuson-Akande, Monalisa Chinda-Coker, Vimbai Mutinhiri, Omawumi, Waje, Stephanie Linus, Marcy Dolapo Oni, Chika Ike, Bolanle Olukanni, Toke Makinwa to name a few. She has worked as stylist and contributor for Vanguard Allure, commercials like Life Buoy, PAL Pensions, DOCU land, Black Opal, Sunlight, 9Mobile, 24 Apparel and more’.
As a Brand Consultant, Rhoda has worked with and helped to grow brands like Amede, Trish O Couture, Tiskies, Aisha Abu Bakar, House of Marie, O’tra by Becca, Amy Chilaka and more. Rhoda Ebun is also the Executive producer of Style 411, a fashion and lifestyle show which has aired on Spice TV and Ebony Life TV.
