The Event

David Eweje- Creative Director “David Wej”:

Adedayo David Eweje is a Nigerian Fashion Designer and founder of the lifestyle brand David Wej. After University Education and a stint with Telecom giants Econet and Globacom, David pursued his long-time passion and created the brand.

David Wej specialises in designs, production, marketing and distribution of premium ready to wear apparels and accessories. In its short establishment David Wej has gained enormous recognition as one of the leading Nigerian lifestyle brands and it is committed to redefining style across all genres locally and internationally.

Derin Fabikun- Creative Director “Fablane by Derin”

Derin Fabikun began her clothing line in the year 2009 at the age of 19 and has never looked back since. Her passion for fashion had always been evident, she started making outfits for herself in school, after which she graduated to making tunics for her friends and family.

Her brand aesthetics are crafty, creative, artsy and almost architectural designs. With over a decade in the fashion industry, she has created a niche for herself. In 2018 she launched her ready to wear brand “Bloombyfbd”

Elizabeth Elohor Aisen- Founder “Beth Model Agency”

Elizabeth Elohor is the CEO, Beth Modelling Agency who organises the annual Elite Model Look competition in Nigeria. she is also the Creative Director of  Miss Nigeria Pageant Project, she hosted one edition of the pageant, which was acknowledged as one of the best in the pageant history;  she also runs Prive Luxury Events where she has planned quite a number of great events.

Her agency was born more than a decade ago and it got the franchise to run  “Elite Model Look competition”  in 2007, and the first ever Elite Model Look competition began in 2008, making it  over a decade of the competition this year 2019. She is an ex-beauty queen, as she had won Miss Nigeria UK several years ago at her much younger age.  At a point in her burgeoning career she was the “Creative Director” of the Miss Nigeria Pageant Project, where she only hosted one edition of pageant, which was acknowledged has one of the best organised in the pageant history.

Ituen Basi – Creative Director “Ituen Basi”

Ituen Basi is the Creative Director of the The multi award winning label Ituen Basi which was launched in Lagos, Nigeria, in 2008. The brand is a pioneer in promoting and celebrating the style, individuality and feminism of the African woman and the richness and diversity of all things Nigerian. Ituen Bassey, the innovative Nigerian Designer behind the label is credited to have creatively redefined and celebrated the Ankara fabric, starting a new era of Ankara interpretation in Nigeria and Africa. The innovation has won her several local and international awards, She has conceptualized and created innovative costumes for several stage productions like ‘For Coloured Girls’, ‘Kakadu the Musical’, ‘HearWord’, ‘Mi Setonu’, ‘Saro the musical’, ‘Fela and the Kalakuta Queens’ to name a few. 

Ituen Bassey was invited to be on the panel of the Stanford Business Forum, as a speaker in April 2014 and in February 2014, she was a panelist at the Fashion Africa Conference in London. She was also invited by Vogue in 2019 to be on a panel as a speaker, moderated by Suzy menkes during the Conde Nast International Luxury Conference in Cape Town. She continues to promote and showcase our rich Nigerian culture through fashion exhibitions and showcases. She has and continues to work tirelessly to support and develop upcoming practitioners in the Nigerian garment industry through her training programmes and initiatives.
