It’s about time to Level Up! We are excited to announce the sixth edition of our speed mentoring event.

As always, we will be hosting top industry leaders in a speed mentoring night with creatives working in Fashion, Visual Arts, TV, Publishing, PR, Modeling, Advertising or Creative Direction for the opportunity to get up close and personal as well as to build on the progress made so far in career or business.

The Event

The event will allow young and established creatives and professionals – that’s you! Meet and connect with industry leaders, get career and business advice, show off your portfolios, discuss projects/ideas and network with like-minds. Basically walk away with insider insights and right steps towards fulfilling your ambitions.

This is a unique chance to have a chat with trailblazers, seasoned pros, top execs, senior creatives and managers in Africa’s creative industry, directly and possibly land yourself a new opportunity.

Guest Mentors

Teni Sagoe, Co-Founder and Creative Director CLAN, EMBASAN

Teni is the Founder and Creative Director of both CLAN and EMBASAN. She’s the Executive Director Operations & Creative Director of the globally recognised heritage brand, Deola Sagoe. With a BA in Law from the University of Exeter and 8 years of industry experience in creative conceptualisation and brand management, her passion lies at the intersection of enterprise and establishment and as such she brings to bear a dynamic intuitiveness to the business of branding and sustainability.

Oke Maduewesi, Founder and CEO, Zaron Group

Oke Maduewesi is currently the Founder / Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Zaron Group of Companies, comprising Zaron International Limited, Zaron Cosmetics Limited and Skin by Zaron who are distributors and marketers of beauty care products under the zaron brand.

She is a versatile business leader with 20+ years of experience and successfully driving through vision, perseverance and hardwork. Zaron cosmetics, Africas’s fastest growing beauty brand, was built as a wholly private sector driven enterprise whose success is anchored on meeting the needs of consumers, whilst also contributing to the socio economic development of the continent through job creation, enterprise development, strong social corporate responsibility and a business ethos anchored on integrity.

Kola Oshalusi, Founder and Creative Director, Insigna Media Production

Kola Oshalusi is a Creative photographer based in Lagos Nigeria.  A full time photographer with over 15years practice, an eye for details and documenting moments which is evident in his works. His widely published works include commissions around the world and spans across Events, Portraits, Fashion, Editorial, Advertising and Architectural photography. His success lies in his continuous pursuit of timeless imagery that constantly evokes thoughts and emotions. Kola’s love for growth and knowledge sharing has allowed him to mentor directly and indirectly over 100 young photographers. His inclusive project “The Business of photography Conference” geared towards driving the African creative industry narrative most especially Photography and videography, has helped grow the industry’s business landscape with Annual gathering of creatives from across west Africa. The Annual event which currently hosts over 2000 guests annually is the largest gathering of photographers in Sub-saharan Africa.

Libby Watson, Set and Costume Designer

Libby is a Set & Costume designer based in London, working across theatre and dance. Libby trained at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School and Wimbledon School of Art (1st Class BA Hons in Theatre Design). Libby has designed over 150 shows in the UK in London and regional repertory theatres, collaborating with many directors including Paulette Randall, Simon Callow, Pete Rowe, Jonnie Riordan, Pravesh Kumar, James Dacre, Kate Saxon and Sir Trevor Nunn.

Elizabeth Elohor Isiorho

Ex beauty queen, Elohor Elizabeth Isiorho is the C.E.O of Privé Luxury Wedding and Event company, and the biggest modelling agency in Africa, Beth Model Management. She is also the Creative Director of Elite Model Look Nigeria. Born in the UK, she studied Business and Information technology in the UK. Elizabeth is a highly successful business woman with expertise in wedding and event planning with over 15years experience in the fashion and entertainment industry.

She successfully launched Beth modeling Agency in Nigeria in December 2004, the biggest and longest standing modelling agency in Nigeria. Through the agency, she has worked with top clients in both the fashion, events and entertainment industry.  In 2007, she secured a franchise deal with Elite Model Management Paris to organise Elite Model Look Nigeria. The annual event which debuted in Nigeria in 2008 has under Elizabeth’s leadership consistently churned out thousands of commercially successful models till date. In 2013, she launched Privé Luxury Wedding and Event company and in July 2015 also launched a one stop luxury bridal store in Lagos, Privé Atelier.

Elizabeth has received various awards in the fashion and entertainment industry including modelling agency of the year three times in a row, an award for outstanding establishments for establishing the first modelling agency in Nigeria. She has appeared on several covers and interviews both locally and internationally. She holds several certifications including certifications from top luxury event planners such as Preston Bailey, Mark Niemierko, Sarah Haywood among others.

Eugene Meyer

Eugene Meyer is the Founder and Head of Strategy at FLANCE Directive Creators in CapeTown, South Africa. He has been helping businesses grow for the past 11 years, focusing on the integration of business objectives within the detail of creative output. His systematic and process orientated approach has ensured that projects not only meet expectations from a quality point of view but that each project is amplified to deliver on key business objectives and inter department integrations to achieve better value from each project. His branding experience across multiple industry sectors (FMCG, Healthcare, Retail, Hospitality and Petroleum) has enabled him to be very flexible in his understanding and approach to the needs of clients’ products and services.

Eugene was one of 600 volunteer consultants selected to partake in Uganda600, a remote mentorship program managed by Grow Movement and in partnership with Stanford University, London School of Business and Chicago’s Booth University. Eugene recently relocated back to Cape Town to expand the company he founded following three years in Lagos.
