Blessing Abeng, Co-Founder and Director of Communications, Ingressive for Good
Blessing Abeng is a branding and communications expert dedicated to helping brands identify and communicate their unique identity and tell better stories. She builds brand and communication strategies around products, services, growth, and sales. She helps brands communicate with their team, target audience, partners, and investors.
She has worked with brands across industries in unique capacities, nationally and globally, including Seedstars, Facebook, Taeillo, Diageo, Heritage Bank, African Alliance, Dark and Lovely (Nigeria and Africa), Bolt, Alomo Bitters, GSK, Lights Camera Africa, Lemi Ghariokwu, Victor Ehikhamenor, Angels and Muse, QuickCheck and so many others. She was also one of the founding members and CMO of Disha and formerly the Co-Director of Startup Grind Lagos.
Her ideas, thoughts, and actions are valued on a national and global front. It is no surprise she has been invited multiple times to speak at Silicon Valley, about Communications in Africa, the African Tech Ecosystem, and stir global investors to Africa while inspiring them to invest in Africa and African brands.
Blessing’s skills and clear vision make her a valuable ecosystem leader and this has led her to wear hats that are value-driven in nature. She is currently the Co-founder and Director of Communications at Ingressive for Good where she drives the mission of the non-profit to create and increase the earning power of African youth through tech training and resources for the growth of the African startup ecosystems. She has also mentored youths in communities like She Leads Africa, Seedstars, African Entrepreneurship Awards, amongst others. She has trained over 5000 creators in branding, communications, marketing and business. She currently curates and nurtures a growing community of over 40,000 individuals from all over the world are constantly inspired by her strides and her consistent knowledge-sharing channels.
Sumaiya Dzietror, Co-Owner and Creative Director, Pistis Ghana
Sumaiya Dzietror is the co-owner/creative director of the renowned Ghanaian fashion house, Pistis Ghana. Pistis which means ‘Good Faith’ in Greek, was established in 2008 after she and husband/co-founder, Kabutey Dzietror, graduated from the Vogue Style School of Fashion & Design.
Sumaiya attended the Mfantsiman Girls Senior High School in Saltpond for her Secondary Education. She also has professional training from Milan & London. She is a mother of three daughters and a firm believer in hard work, perseverance, and God.
Their company Pistis currently stands at the frontline of the fast-growing African fashion industry while making major strides in the international markets.
Natasha Buchler, Co-Founder, Joint CEO, and Partnerships Director, Akojo Market
Natasha Buchler is a Co-Founder of AKOJO MARKET, an e-commerce platform championing independent, emerging clothing, lifestyle, and homeware brands from across Africa and beyond. AKOJO MARKET sells artisan-made products from over 50 pioneering, community-focused and sustainable brands, sourcing collectively from over 16 countries in Africa.
Natasha’s specific expertise lies in supply due diligence, reputational risk assessments, and compliance reviews and training. Natasha has worked as Anti-Corruption Compliance Manager for a major US retailer, and for global consultancy firms.
Fela is a multi-award-winning entrepreneur and graduate of the University of Lagos with a Bachelors and Masters degree (Distinction) in Environmental Toxicology & Pollution Management. Having resigned as a business analyst and an environmental scientist, he founded the company, SALUBATA – with a mission to invent lifestyle technologies that help people and the planet.
He currently owns a patent in making modular shoes from recycled plastic wastes. He also co-founded a fintech, Genera – with a mission to enable African families to build sustainable financial security.
