This workshop will focus on fashion illustration as well as it’s practical application. This will include the difference between illustrating for art purposes and illustrating for production, known as technical sketching. You will learn how to inspire your own designs as well as how to interpret the design needs of others.

Workshop Facilitator:

You’ll be in very good hands because Ivie Omenai, founder of fashion brands; Raya and The Weave Hat Company is a fashion designer and retail entrepreneur. She has a degree in fashion manufacturing and has worked on many private label collaborations for international brands and celebrities such as; Urban Outfitters, Serena Williams, Iman and Macy’s before moving to Nigeria and working with the Jumia Fashion department. Her experience ranges from accessories to apparel to graphic & print design. She has since gone on to found 4 retail brands in Nigeria while continuing to collaborate on freelance design work for various brands. She specializes in hand illustration and CAD, while drawing on other skills she has acquired along the way such as fashion photography, marketing and brand management.
