Project UNLEASH Call for Applications

We’re excited to be bringing you some April showers in collaboration with the Condé Nast College of Fashion and Design with UNLEASH, our Fashion Business Exchange Programme for fashion entrepreneurs, postgraduate students and budding creative talent in Nigeria and the United Kingdom.

Funded by The British Council, Project UNLEASH is a fashion business exchange program geared towards building the teams and brands of growing creative enterprises in Nigeria with the support of Masters students from Condé Nast College, who’ll be gaining international business exposure and young creative talent seeking hands-on experience in the creative industry.

Project Unleash The Assembly Hub

Are you a fashion entrepreneur who’s been in business for over 2-years and are working towards meeting one or more of the SDGs with your venture? Or perhaps you are a young creative in search of experience to build your professional career or increase your chances of someday leading your brand?

This programme is designed to connect you with one-to-one business support and practical learning opportunities that will transform your brand or career.

As a Fashion Business, the programme will provide you the opportunity to:

  • Connect and get business support from international talent studying for a Masters degree in Fashion Communication, Luxury Brand Strategy or Entrepreneurship for 3 months
  • Gain access to an expert programme Faculty dedicated to the growth of your brand
  • Grow your network across borders and cultures

As a Budding Creative Professional, the programme will provide you with the opportunity to:

  • Shadow and understudy a Masters student from Condé Nast College to gain practical experience working within a professional environment and supporting a growing brand.
  • Paid internship with a fashion brand for 2 weeks
  • Gain the soft skills needed to propel your career

For Fashion Entrepreneurs and business owners:

  • Be located in Nigeria
  • Demonstrate the existence of a legal structure, with a certificate of registration dated no less than 6 months before the date of application submission.
  • Must have been operating your business for at least 24 months.
  • Must be operating a business in the fashion and textile industry.
  • Must have an existing staff strength of no less than 3.
  • Must demonstrate that your business works to meet one or more of the Sustainable Development Goals 
  • Must be available to participate fully for the duration of the programme

For budding creative professionals:

  • Be located in Nigeria
  • Must be between the ages of 18 – 30
  • Must be available to participate fully for the duration of the programme 
  • Must demonstrate an interest to work in the fashion and creative sector 
  • Must demonstrate basic skills sets within the fashion and creative sector

The application deadline is 23rd April and program spaces are limited.
