The ideal candidate for this role should possess excellent communication skills, superior knowledge of business development, and strong leadership qualities. The successful candidate will be expected to progress through the ranks to VP Business Development or Marketing position within 3 to 7 years depending on previous experience and performance.
OBJECTIVES
- To manage and account for all business activities, support staff development, enhance efficiency, drive sales and improve revenue, maintain relationships with clients, enhance the organization’s image, and meet overall growth objectives.
DAILY AND MONTHLY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead business development activities to grow sales and company revenue.
- Manage the business’s social media channels including basic content creation and scheduling.
- Support the manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations including sales & order processing, CRM, etc as required.
- Ensure the effective management of all sales channels: e-commerce, social media, stores, concessions, and stockists.
- Main contact for retail partners and leading the growth of our retail network (Stockists).
- Maintain project timelines to ensure tasks are accomplished on time and to budget.
- Create a safe and positive working environment.
- Manage and maintain company facilities to high standards.
- Train and develop junior staff to ensure every staff is adequately trained to deliver excellence.
- Define, develop, and drive business processes and procedures relevant to your area.
- Foster continuous improvement across business operations.
- Contribute to business planning and development activities.
REQUIREMENTS
Skill Requirements
- Proven experience in a business development or marketing role.
- Content creation and social media management.
- Strong working knowledge of social media marketing.
- Strong decision-making capabilities.
- Above-average communication, collaboration, and delegation skills.
- Proven ability to develop and maintain budgets.
- Knowledge and passion for the fragrance industry (or consumer goods)
Educational Requirements
- Minimum
- OND/HND or Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g. Business Management)
- NYSC certification
Professional Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of working experience, preferably in retail or a similar industry.
- Experience in a leadership role is desirable
WORKTYPE
- Hybrid role (min 2 days on site)
WORK HOURS
- Mondays – Fridays
- 9 am – 5 pm
With alternate off days during the week to accommodate working on Saturdays
SALARY
- N70,000 – N110,000 (depending on experience) + 10% commission on sales
