
Production Director – Afrikstabel
Afrikstabel is a textile company that creates sustainable and indigenous textiles for fashion and interior companies globally. Our products are carefully hand-crafted by artisans in Nigeria and exported to 8 different countries including the US and the UK where over a dozen fashion and art companies are developing collections using our textiles. We are specialized in Adire, batik, tie & dye, and handwoven fabric and are looking to hire an experienced Production Director to join our team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Overseeing the day-to-day aspects of production in the studio.
- Scheduling and supervising the work of staff members involved in pre-production, production, and post-production processes
- Monitoring the quality of work produced by production staff, providing feedback, and offering training as needed
- Communicating and maintaining relationships with clients, and staff during and after production to ensure client satisfaction
- Managing the financial aspects of a project, including maintaining project budgets and accounting for expenditures
- Develop and maintain operations KPIs to evaluate Operations performance:
- Manage inventory of fabric, finished goods, production materials, swatches, and order fulfillment supplies.
- Overseeing the progress of a project from beginning to end, including explaining designs to artisans
- Supervising and Working with the production manager to ensure and maintain zero defects in design implementation and design production.
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of 2 years of production or operations management experience
- Previous experience in Textile Production is strongly desired.
- Ability to multitask effectively
- Good ability to effectively manage people, time and resources
- Willingness to adapt and collaborate
- Ability to prepare reports and strategic plans for production
- Good communication and presentation skills
- A positive attitude towards work and ability to motivate the team
- An HND/B.Sc. qualification is preferred.
- Female candidates are most preferred
JOB TYPE
- Full-time (On-site)
- Monday – Friday (8:30 am – 6 pm)
- Saturday (8:30 am to 1 pm)
SALARY
- N100,000 – N150,000
