Role Description 

Newton & David are seeking to hire vibrant and enthusiastic Event Planner Interns with a passion for actualising event concepts.

 

As an Intern you will join Newton & David’s busy live events team on a fixed one year paid Internship March 2019 – March 2020 and will be tasked with working closely with vendors to ensure deliverables, assisting creative teams, managing event budgets, site inspections and a host of other supporting roles to ensure the success of  Newton & David’s events. 

Newton & David are looking confident and hard working individual with a can-do, positive attitude, who is able to multi-task and work alongside the current team to deliver high quality events for their clients.

 

This is a fantastic opportunity for an aspiring event planner and manager to join Nigeria’s pioneering event management and decor company and learn everything there is to know about producing world class events.
Upon successfully completing the internship (immediate start) the successful candidate will have the opportunity of becoming a full time member of the Newton & David team. 
The role:
  • End to end operational management of events 
  • Liaison with suppliers, speakers and sponsors
  • Venue liaison (ordering catering/set up/event requirements)
  • All pre and post-event admin (supplier PO/invoices, speaker and sponsor correspondence)
  • Production of event guide and event signage (Experience of using InDesign would be hugely advantageous here)
  • Internal pre and post-event meetings
  • Onsite event management alongside the event content producer
  • Post-event admin
Requirements 
  • A keen interest or possesses event experience. 
  • Keen eye for detail and highly organised
  • Self motivated with creative thinking abilities
  • Exposure to  project management.
  • Have a residence on the mainland.
  • Be creative, curious, innovative and highly organised.
  • Will be required to attend all Newton & David meetings and events.
Qualifications:

B.Sc./HND in a relevant field.
